The Post-Gazette has been on the litter beat lately. A sampling:

• Joe Divack and Derek Green of Stash the Trash were mentioned on Diana Nelson Jones's City Walkabout blog and were the focus of a March 29 story, "Volunteers try to lift Pittsburgh out of the dumps."
• Joe was also the recipient of the Volunteer of the Year award, which is a recognition given out during the annual "Bob Awards" ceremony. The Bob Awards is an event hosted by the Clean Pittsburgh Commission and is named after Pittsburgh's late mayor Bob O'Connor.
• Mr. Litterman's essay "Citizens Against Snowstorms: Take back our sidewalks," also received a mention on the City Walkabout blog.
