Citizens Against Litter

Spring Redd Up attracts 170 communities; goal is 250 matching last year

Most of Pittsburgh's 90 neighborhoods and 80 other communities and groups in Allegheny, Beaver, Butler, Washington and Westmoreland Counties have signed up for spring Redd Up in March, April and May. The biggest day is Saturday, April 16.

Citizens Against Litter, organizer of the event, wants to reach last spring's participation of 250 communities and 20,000 volunteers.

Pittsburgh public and parochial schools pick up litter on and around their buildings on Friday, April 15. The event is called Stash the Trash.
