South Side "Tireless Project" clean up July 6

On Friday, July 6, The Tireless Project is hosting a river and trail clean-up along the South Side Riverfront Trail beginning at 4th Street. The event begins at 5:00 pm and will wrap up at 8:00 p.m. with food and live music by Los Callados.

Individuals, groups, or even whole businesses or organizations from the South Side are invited to participate in the event. The Tireless Project is a collaborative effort of local organizations to eliminate waterfront blight on Pittsburgh?s three rivers. Four of those organizations, Friends of the Riverfront, Venture Outdoors, REI and Allegheny CleanWays have offices on the South Side.

All volunteers will receive a pass for 1 hour of free kayaking at any Kayak Pittsburgh location as a thank you. Kayak Pittsburgh is a project of Venture Outdoors.

Call or email Myrna Newman (412-381-1301; myrna.newman@alleghenycleanways.org) with any questions.
