Film festival to highlight environmental issues

The Pennsylvania Resources Council and Allegheny Cleanways are partnering up to bring the 2015 Wild & Scenic Film Festival to Pittsburgh.

According to a press release from the organizations, "This film festival works to combine quality and powerful filmmaking with current environmental issues to inspire citizens to protect their environment and to take action for our local and global communities. Festival-goers can expect to see award-winning films about a number of green issues, excellent raffle prizes, light refreshments, and the opportunity to connect with local initiatives to protect Southwestern PA!"

The festival is on Thursday, October 29th from 6:00 to 9:30 p.m. at the Kelly Strayhorn Theatre for an evening of education, entertainment, and inspiration. Tickets and more information are available at http://www.prc.org/filmfestival.
